5 great ideas to embellish high heels

Eye-catching high heels spice up every outfit. Even if you’re wearing normal jeans and a white shirt, your look will turn into a real eye-catcher as soon as you wear nice pumps. But high heels from the store are often monochrome and rather boring. No problem for us! We’ll show you a few great ideas on how to turn rather bland pumps into absolutely individual eye-catchers. The DIY ideas are also perfect for old, already sorted out shoes, which our ideas give them a new chance.

1. Shoe with lace

For this you need:

  • top
  • Napkin glue
  • Sponge
  • scissors
  • brush
  • Fabric ribbon

That is how it goes:

1.1 Dab napkin glue on the shoe with a sponge and place the piece of lace on it.

1.2 Cut off the protruding tip. Also tape the heel with lace. Fold the edges of the toe over the edges of the shoe so that the edge is also covered with lace. Then use a brush and napkin glue to stick tape to the inside of the shoe.

2. Loop on the shoe

For this you need:

  • Velcro
  • Fabric ribbon
  • scissors
  • Lighter

That is how it goes:

2.1 This embellishment works best on an open sandal with a ribbon around the ankle. Glue a piece of Velcro to the ankle strap.

2.2 Tie a ribbon out of the fabric ribbon (a nice, wide fabric ribbon made of silk or velvet is best), make a bow and singe the edges with a lighter so that they do not fray. Then glue the counterpart of the Velcro to the back of the bow.

2.3 Put the bow on the ankle strap.

3. Creative sole

For this you need:

  • Nail polish (white, red, light green, dark green)
  • Permanent marker

That is how it goes:

3.1 Paint the sole with white nail polish.

3.2 Then paint half of it with red nail polish (including heel).

3.3 Paint the rest of the sole with the two shades of green. Finally, there are a few black points on the red nail polish. The creative watermelon sole is ready.

4. Comic shoe

For this you need:

  • old comics
  • scissors
  • Napkin glue
  • Sponge

That is how it goes:

4.1 Cut the comics into snippets.

4.2 Dab the napkin glue on the shoe and stick the comic snippets on top.

4.3 At the end you brush the shoe with varnish so that it shines and the snippets no longer come off.

5. Heart shoe

For this you need:

  • Transparent Paper
  • scissors
  • pencil
  • duct tape
  • Permanent spray (gold colored)

That is how it goes:

5.1 Place the piece of tracing paper on the shoe and cut it left and right so that the front part of the shoe is completely covered. Now paint a heart shape on it and cut it out.

5.2 You now glue the negative form onto the shoe so that only the tip of the shoe peeps out.

5.3 You spray the toe of the shoe with permanent spray.

These DIY shoes are a real feast for the eyes for every fashion lover. And guaranteed not off the shelf! With these pumps you will draw all eyes to your feet and your outfit will be unforgettable.
