The onion is one of the most popular vegetables in the world. And not without reason: you can do more with onions than you think. Plus, you always have onions at home.
For this you need:
- 2 onions
- 5 pre-cooked lasagna plates
- 200 g Bolognese sauce
- 4 slices of cheese
- 150 g ricotta
For the breading:
1.) First, halve a large vegetable onion. Take out the individual rings and set them aside.
2.) You should have already pre-cooked five lasagne plates. Now use a glass to cut circles out of the plate that are about the size of the onion rings.
3.) Use the glass again and cut circles of equal size out of a slice of cheese.
4.) Take an onion ring and now alternately layer the round lasagne plates, the Bolognese sauce, the round cheese slices and a spoonful of ricotta on top of each other.
5.) Put the filled onion halves on top of each other and put them in the freezer for an hour.
6.) Now you bread the onion bombs with flour, eggs and breadcrumbs. Fry them in about 160 ° C hot fat for about 4 minutes until they are golden brown. Sprinkle some parmesan on top to garnish.
A really fabulous surprise, these round lasagne bombs! Breading, Bolognese sauce and ricotta in onion casing – you can’t get more flavor in a small space.
