Big or small: we all have fun coloring Easter eggs! But only red, yellow, blue and green eggs get boring in the long run. 1.) Foam whisk trick
This trick is especially useful for coloring eggs with children. Put the egg in a whisk. Now you dip the egg a little bit in the color of Easter eggs and count to ten.

Then you take the whisk out again, turn the egg a little and dip it again a little bit in color (the same or a different one). Little by little, an egg with exciting shades of color is created.

2.) Rubber band trick
The elastic band method is also easy to implement with children. Put several elastic bands around the egg before coloring it a light color. Once the paint has dried, take off the rubber bands and stretch them around the egg again in a different position. Now the egg is colored in a slightly darker shade. For a third round you repeat the procedure and take an even darker color.

3.) Nail polish trick
Correct timing is important for this dyeing technique. Drip some nail polish into a bowl of lukewarm water – you can use one color or several. Use a kebab skewer to swirl the color. Now you put the blown egg on the skewer and use it to dip it into the water bowl with a slight twisting motion to get a great marbling. The whole thing should be done as quickly as possible so that the nail polish does not set in the water. If you don’t want to sacrifice your nail polish: There are also special marbling colors for Easter eggs.

4.) Eggshell trick I
Broke a colored egg Thanks to this decoration idea, that’s not bad at all. You can use the bowls to glue a beautiful mosaic onto an egg that is still undyed. Normal craft glue is ideal for this. The other way around, the idea is just as appealing: You color your Easter eggs and stick the white bowls from the breakfast egg on them.

5.) Handkerchief trick
Children love colorful Easter eggs the most. It’s very easy with the following trick: Wrap the egg in a pocket or kitchen towel and tie the ends of the towel with a rubber band. Now several splashes of liquid food coloring are simply dripped onto the cloth and the cloth is then moistened with water from a spray bottle – the colors flow nicely into one another.

6.) Eggshell trick II
Boil the eggs. Once they have cooled down, roll them over the table, pressing carefully, so that the shell breaks all around but does not tear. Now place the eggs one after the other in a sealable freezer bag with a few drops of food coloring. Swirl it around a little so that the paint is evenly distributed. If you now peel the eggs, they have an extraordinary grain inside.

7.) Toothbrush trick
Color your blown eggs the way you are used to. Now you take a toothbrush, dip it in strong water or acrylic paint and sprinkle it on the eggs. 8.) Napkin trick
If you can’t paint, you have to glue! This old Easter egg wisdom comes into play here: Take beautiful vintage napkins, separate the top layer and glue it to the egg using napkin glue.

This trick is really simple and even works with your own photos! Stick a handkerchief on a piece of paper and print your favorite photo on it with a laser printer. Now you peel off the top layer again and glue it on.
9.) Wax trick
Decorating eggs with wax has a long tradition among the Sorbs. The eggs are decorated with the most elaborate designs. Simpler and a touch more modern are simpler motifs. All you need are colored, liquid wax and a toothpick to apply.

10.) Feather trick
Coat your blown out Easter eggs thinly evenly with craft glue. Put a nice feather on it and use a brush to spread craft glue over it again.
