Cocktail in an apple with vodka, amaretto, apple juice and liqueur

Frank Sinatra already knew that New York was worth a trip. Because the city that never sleeps but is not exactly around the corner and the wallet is almost always empty anyway, such a trip is easier said than done. For now, however, you can bring the Big Apple home in a slimmed-down form – to drink straight from an apple. Well then, for your health!

For this you need:

  • 3 red apples
  • 200 g crushed ice
  • 200 ml apple juice
  • 5 cl vodka
  • 5 cl amaretto
  • 5 cl caramel liqueur

That is how it goes:

1. Cut off the tops of two apples and then scoop them out with a spoon. You have to make sure that the outer walls are not broken, because the apple should be turned into a drinking vessel. Cut a small hole in the severed top, big enough for a straw. It is best to place the hole exactly where the handle sits. Repeat these steps for a total of two of the apples.

2. Now you only have to put the inside of the apples, also the third, diced apple and all other ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. The result is a silky, icy mass, similar to a “slush” ice cream!

3. Pour the cocktail into the apples and close them with the lid made. Put another straw in and you’re ready to slurp away.

While drinking, you can keep dreaming of the restless metropolis and set up a savings plan so that one day the New York trip will come true. If you don’t drink alcohol or want to make the cocktail in a child-friendly version, replace the alcohol with apple juice, caramel syrup and maybe a pinch of cinnamon and sugar or cream. In the end, even the little ones will be delighted by this funny packaging.
